When we moved in our house needed lots of TLC inside and out, and there wasn't much in the way of landscaping.
This is what it looked like when we first moved in.
One of our recent project was putting in a brick patio. We started building it this past June thinking that it would be a summer project. Patrick bought some salvaged bricks that came from an old warehouse in Kentucky. This meant that before using the bricks they had to be scraped and cleaned, which was going well until this happened in July:

Eventually he was able to start working on the patio again, and with a lot of help from our dads and Patrick's brothers it went from this...
